New to the Board, Wayne Johnson

Meet Wayne Johnson, the newest Board Member of the Brunswick and Glynn County Development Authority.  Wayne brings a tremendous amount of experience in the financial industry and is a long time resident of Brunswick and Glynn County.

Wayne Johnson’s Background and Experience

R. Wayne Johnson has been employed by Synovus Financial Corp for 31 years. He currently serves as President of The Coastal Bank of Georgia, a Division of Synovus Bank.

Mr. Johnson was the 2010-2011 Chairman of the Brunswick-Golden Isles Chamber of Commerce. He sits on other community boards including the College of Coastal Georgia Foundation and the Golden Isles Youth Symphony. He is a board member of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and enjoys being a member of the Rotary Club of Glynn County and was Club President in 2004-2005. He is married and has two sons.
