A MOTION was made by Jack Kilgore, seconded by Jones Hooks and passed unanimously to accept the agenda as presented. The MOTION carried unanimously: 3-0

VI. APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES
A MOTION was made by Jack Kilgore and seconded by Jones Hooks to approve the April 2, 2019 Meeting Minutes as presented. The MOTION carried unanimously: 3-0.

VIII. NEW BUSINESS
• Coastal Plain Coalition
A MOTION was made by Jack Kilgore and seconded by Jones Hooks to approve a Motion of Support in the amount of $5,000 for the Coastal Plain Coalition as presented. The MOTION carried unanimously: 3-0

• One Love Organics
Chase and Suzanne LeRoux gave a presentation on upgraded equipment from the Share the Future grant, the history of how they began and how far they have come in the 10 years they’ve been in business. One Love Organics manufactures products here in Glynn County and they are the only Ecocert/Cosmos licensed facility in the state of Georgia and one of only a select few in the United States. One Love Organics was also named the best overall green beauty brand at Cosmoprof of 2018. They will roughly double their wholesale store count by selling a sub-brand called Grace + Tonic Botanical Beauty in select Target Department Stores this year.

President’s Information Items:
• Projects Report
Ryan Moore reported that there are 16 active projects, 1 new project and 1 site visit that had to be postponed.

• Speaking Engagements
o Kiwanis Club Meeting April 1, 2019
o Rotary Club of the Golden Isles Meeting April 10, 2019
o Governmental Affairs, FI Association of Realtors, April 23, 2019

• Ryan Moore reported on the Director of Business Development position. This position continues to be advertised and a final decision should be made in the next few weeks.

• Red Carpet Tour
Ryan Moore reported that the Red Carpet Tour was a hit and thanked Woody Woodside for pulling it all together seamlessly. The Red Carpet Tour is the State’s flagship event that brings site selectors from all over U.S. along with companies interested in investing in Georgia.

• Manufacturer of the Year Award Luncheon, April 18, 2019
Pete Snell with Coastal Pines Technical College reported that the Technical College System of Georgia orchestrates the Manufacturer of the Year event each year to recognize manufacturing on a statewide and local level for their contribution to our communities. Pete Snell presented both Gulfstream and One Love Organics with the Manufacturer of the Year Award nominations for Glynn County.

• Washington Fly-in
Ryan Moore reported on participating with the Chambers Washington Fly-in along with Chairman Wayne Johnson. It’s a good event to take Glynn County’s message to Washington, DC.

• Update on RLF Fund/Loan
Ryan Moore updated the board on the RLF for Satilla Dentistry. to the Board reviewed and recommended funding Satilla Dentistry and the County voted to accept the funding on May 2, 2019.

• Update on Job Fair
Sherri Pruitt reported that while visiting our local industries she has learned that Kerfkore was able to retain 2 employees from the Georgia Pacific job fair and keep them in the community.

• Dave Smith Award
Ryan Moore reported that we will be presenting the award at the Chamber Annual Dinner this year.

XI. GCAC
• Rental Car – On Airport Concession Agreement –Ryan Moore
A MOTION was made by Jack Kilgore and seconded by Jones Hooks to approve the Rental Car on airport concession agreement as presented. The MOTION carried unanimously: 3-0.
• Runway Extension Report – Rob Burr
Terra Winslett gave update on the transfer of Longview Hangar Unit #8 Trace Hartridge to John Kaufman. Terra Winslett also reminded the board that the Hurricane Awareness tour will be this Friday and encouraged everyone to join them.

Rob Burr gave an update on the request for the runway extension report. More to come.

XII. IMPORTANT DATES
• Development Authority Board Meeting – June 4th, Large Board Room, Tuesday at 9am
• Annual Chamber Dinner – June 13th, Jekyll Convention Center, Thursday from 5:30-8:30pm

XIII. CLOSED SESSION
A. Closed Session – Real Estate OCGA Section §50-14-3(b)(1)(B)

A MOTION was made by Jones Hooks and seconded by Jack Kilgore to enter into Closed Session to discuss Real Estate OCGA Section §50-14-3(b)(1)(B). The MOTION carried unanimously: 3-0.

A MOTION to was made by Jack Kilgore and seconded by Jones Hooks to return to Open Session. The MOTION carried unanimously: 3-0.

Returned to Open Session

A MOTION was made by Jack Kilgore and seconded by Jones Hooks to approve the expenditure of $105,000 in infrastructure improvements along Innovative Drive, in North Commerce Park, with the understanding that the proposed lease with SandCo Towers, LLC, (which is in progress and subject to final approval by legal counsel) will provide that Sandco will pay $60,000 of said $105,000 at the time of the commencement of the lease to be applied toward its $900.00 per month rent. The MOTION carried unanimously: 3-0

XIV. ADJOURN
A MOTION to adjourn was made by Jack Kilgore and seconded by Jones Hooks. The MOTION carried unanimously: 3-0. The meeting adjourned at 10:40am.
