Glynn County is a population center for the southeast Georgia region that has grown by more than 3% since the 2010 census for a total of about 85,000 people. The area is also major destination for business, industry, and trade. As of 2014, the trade-area population broke 200,000 and is now around 225,000. Glynn County has seen significant growth in the retail sector with the addition of several national retailers including Sam’s Club, Hobby Lobby, Academy Sports, HomeGoods and many others.

The race distribution is comparable to other areas in the region and consists of 68% white, 26% black, and the remaining percentage is made up largely of Hispanic or Latino.
