SAVANNAH, Ga. – World Trade Center Savannah (WTCSav) announced at their recent board meeting that Bill E. Hill representing McIntosh County and R.J. “Rick” Edger representing Glynn County have been appointed to the WTCSav Board of Directors.

Hill, who currently is president, CEO and owner of Coastal Storage, U-Haul and South Newport Restorations, has worked extensively internationally with both NCR Corporation and IBM. He has led training and seminars in the use of NCR systems in Spain, Ireland, as well as the Middle East and Asia. Hill spent three years focusing on international business relationships and traveled to Germany and Italy with Kolbus America.

Hill has been a board member of the Southeast Georgia Joint Development Authority for three years and is serving as the President and Founder of the Classical Coastal Cruisers. He is the manger of Amateur Radio Communications for the Federal Emergency Management agency and the Richmond Hill, Georgia Volunteer Fire Department.

Wally Orrel, President & Executive Director of McIntosh County Chamber & Industrial Development Authority, stated, “McIntosh County is extremely fortunate to have Bill and his wife, Sherry, as residents. I have had the privilege for the past three-years to have Bill on the board of our county’s Industrial Development Authority and serve with him as board members of the Southeast Georgia Joint Development Authority. Bill is a successful businessman that is energetic, creative, broad-minded and always pro-active.”

Edger, who is Senior Vice President for PaR Systems and Vice President for PaR Marine/Jered LLC, is responsible for acquisitions and major customer strategic relationships as well as developing strategies for increasing value added business with current U.S. customers. In 2012, he led the acquisition of Marine Systems Technology and spent the following two years in the United Kingdom developing Marine Systems Technology’s business.

Mel Baxter, Chair Board of Governors, Brunswick & Glynn County Development Authority, who nominated Edger for the WTCSav board of directors said, “Rick is such an asset to our community, this was an easy choice, because we know he will certainly be an asset to the World Trade Center Savannah Board.
