Looking for a job? If you can answer a telephone and deal nicely with people, you just might be in luck.

A company hired by eBay Enterprise says it’s looking for men and women to fill hundreds of openings. Addeco Staffing US said it has been tasked with finding workers to fill 1,000 openings at eBay Enterprise, a call center in Brunswick. “The jobs are in customer service and typical responsibilities for these positions include interacting with customers to provide information about products, services, orders and billing. Additionally, employees will keep track of customer interactions and ensure that any needed changes are taken care of,” said Vannessa Almeida, an Addeco spokesperson.

Primary duties include interacting with customers concerning transactions and order details. The jobs will range in hours and schedules available, including full-time and part-time, as well as first and second shifts. While the majority of the jobs are seasonal, there is an opportunity for some positions to transition into full-time employment. “Additionally, there are also work-at-home opportunities,” she said. “The ideal candidate will have previous customer service or call center experience along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Part of the job involves resolving issues so the ability to make good decisions is an advantage.

“Computer work will be done, so proficiency with email and Microsoft Word is needed.”
