or preparation for immediate employment, assistance to students who are academically under-prepared for college-level study; and lifelong learning opportunities for workforce development, career enhancement, and personal enrichment.
The academic programs are fully accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). Many of the programs are also accredited by the accrediting body for the discipline.
In addition to the diverse academic programs, there are a host of training courses, continuing education courses, adult literacy programs, high school partnerships and programs for children. The College also provides employers with workforce training and other related resources.
Currently the College enrolls approximately 3000 students and employs more than 200 staff and faculty members.
College of Coastal Georgia works hand-in-hand with community businesses and schools to provide the degree programs and workforce training designed to make Brunswick and the Golden Isles a leader in comprehensive academic quality.

Altahama Technical College
These are truly exciting times for Altamaha Technical College (ATC) as they enter their 20th year of operation. ATC provides excellent educational opportunities and with a 97.51% job placement rate it’s the perfect educational venue for people who are anxious about their future. Due to the close relationship between ATC’s curriculum and the area’s economic landscape, a technical education frp, ATC makes a person very employable. People can find what they’re looking for at ATC whether it’s in the medical field, manufacturing, business, or the service sector – ATC offers programs that position graduates for long-term career success.
Governor Perdue has included $14.375 million in capital outlay funds in the FY2010 budget for construction of a Brunswick campus for ATC, which also operates campuses in Jesup, Baxley, Hazlehurst and Ludowici. Until these funds are appropriated by the state legislature and the project is complete; ATC will share space with the new Golden Isles Career Academy.
